Your new role
As a Principal Engineer, you'll take on a senior technical leadership position, guiding multiple engineering teams across software development and DevOps. You'll lead by example in object-oriented design and 4GL programming, champion microservice architecture, and embed test-driven development practices. You'll require knowledge of backend technologies such as Java, C#, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and infrastructure-as-code using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience leading engineering teams
- Strong background in software engineering and technical architecture
- Expertise in backend technologies and microservices (Java, C#, Spring Boot)
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, incident management, and 24/7 support
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (JavaScript, Vue.js) and CMS platforms (Drupal, WordPress)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (SC & NPPV3 clearance, GDS)
- Agile delivery experience including backlog refinement and sprint reviews
- Strategic thinking and assurance aligned with SFIA Level 5
- SC Clearance and NPPV3
