We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to join our clients senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a high-impact HR strategy across the organisation. This is a critical appointment, offering the opportunity to lead transformational change, drive operational excellence, and influence the future of our people agenda.As a strategic partner to the COO and CEO, you will lead on complex employee relations matters, organisational development initiatives, and capability building across the business. You will be instrumental in upskilling HR Business Partners, embedding robust processes, and ensuring our people practices are aligned with both behavioural expectations and business goals.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR function with a focus on strategic delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of group-wide HR initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
- Provide expert guidance on complex ER cases, including Employment Tribunal matters.
- Coach and develop HR Business Partners to enhance their operational impact and strategic contribution.
- Champion a culture of accountability, capability, and respectful challenge across management teams.
- Ensure recruitment processes attract and retain talent from the widest possible pool.
- Promote the use of HR tools and frameworks to support performance, development, and behavioural standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within a multi-site organisation.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into action.
- Skilled in navigating complex ER issues and driving cultural change.
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on coaching and development.
- Comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ideally, CIPD Level 7 qualified and educated to degree level.
- Sector experience in public sector is desirable but not essential.
