Salary: £37,626 - £44,257 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 18 per week, 52 weeks

Main duties include organising a community based First Steps Into Adult Learning programme, and developing community based adult learning pathways

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wider Achievement and Lifelong Learning Service as a Development Officer (CLD Adult and Family Learning).

This role within the Adult and Family Learning team will work with colleagues and partners to contribute to the development of educational opportunities for adult learning within community settings.

We welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds who hold a CLD or equivalent qualification. With a strong understanding of community based adult learning, you will have experience of adult education and lifelong learning and of developing and delivering high-quality educational opportunities. An important aspect of the job will include working in effective collaboration with a range of colleagues, partners and networks, both internal and external.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
