Are you passionate about providing outstanding customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, offering a positive experience to every visitor? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Active North Yorkshire team!

As a Leisure Centre Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our visitors, offering a warm welcome and delivering exceptional front-line services. Whether based at one site or across multiple sites, you'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with the Duty Manager and Management Team to ensure a safe, friendly, and well-organized environment for all.




Key Responsibilities:

Provide top-notch customer service by responding to queries via phone, email, and social media.
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the reception area, handling administrative duties and cash transactions efficiently.
Help new customers sign up for memberships, conduct sales tours, and stay updated on promotional offers.
Contribute to the development of a customer-focused culture and assist in service improvements.
Maintain accurate records and assist with the centre’s management information system.
What We're Looking For:

Strong customer service experience, ideally in a public-facing role.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A proactive and positive attitude with a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation, with an eye for detail.
A sales-focused mindset and ability to contribute to membership growth.
Desirable Skills:

Experience using point-of-sale software and working in the leisure sector.
Basic First Aid certification or willingness to train.
A customer care qualification or similar.
