Chesterfield Borough Council is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Stage Crew Member to join our Cultural Services team. This is your chance to play a vital role in bringing performances and events to life across our vibrant council venues.
What you'll do
As a Stage Crew Member, you’ll help ensure the smooth delivery of performances and events by supporting the technical team and contributing to backstage operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
-assisting with loading/unloading, scenery construction, and stage rigging
-supporting the setup and operation of lighting and sound systems
acting as show crew during performances – moving scenery, -operating flying equipment or follow spots
-ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping in all technical areas
-working safely at height and maintaining equipment
assisting with caretaking duties and equipment security post-event
What we're looking for
-ability to perform strenuous manual tasks
-comfortable working at height
-willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, bank holidays.
-basic IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
-strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
