BEAR Scotland is a leading road maintenance and management service provider in Scotland, maintaining and improving Scottish Trunk Roads including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country.
We have an exciting opportunity within BEAR Scotland to join us as a Payroll Coordinator.
This is a permanent post within our Finance Team, working closely with the Finance Services and HR Teams. You will be based in our newly refurbished head-office in Perth, and report to the Payroll Team Leader. Payroll is a Timesheet driven process supported by Dynamic 365 and you will be responsible for supporting the payroll function.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5hrs Monday – Friday. Part-Time applications will be considered.
Responsibilities and Activities:
• Responsible for overseeing the weekly payroll including final check prior to sign off
• Analyses weekly payroll post processing and provide weekly reports & analysis
• Support Payroll Team Lead / Manager with the monthly payroll processing
• Provide absence cover for monthly payroll
• Any other duties associated with the role
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Ideally the successful candidate will have a Qualification in Finance. BEAR Scotland will support further development in a payroll qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
• Previous Experience with Dynamic 365 & Resource Link Payroll System – Desirable (training will be provided)
• Strong Excel Skills
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work alone and part of a team
• High attention to detail
