At Pobl Group, this role is best known as Scheme Support Officer. Our Caerphilly Ffynon Floating Support team has an opportunity for a motivated, passionate, and positive person to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The service provides housing-related support to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have a primary need related to substance or alcohol misuse. You could be working with individuals to teach them tenancy management skills, support them with their mental health, and assist with any other needs they may have.

Job Specifics:

Full Time – 37 hours
Permanent Contract
Salary for this role is £24,531.00
Work Pattern: Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm flexibility is required

It is essential to have a full driver's licence and access to a car.

This is an exciting opportunity as no 2 days are the same, you have autonomy to structure your week and it is really rewarding when you witness the positive impact you have had on the people we support.

We have a blended approach to the support we deliver, and this can include working from home via the phone and video call, our offices, in peoples home and the local community within the Caerphilly area.

Day to Day Duties:

Managing your own caseload
Traveling to the people we support’s homes or temporary accommodation
Engaging and interacting with the people we support to establish goals to work towards
Providing advice on finances, health & wellbeing, welfare benefits, housing options and tenancy management skills
Working with external agencies and signposting the people we support to the appropriate services suited to their needs
Our aim is to ensure we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their home independently. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
