We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our small team in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting flowers and plants safely and efficiently to florists, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Operate a van to transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely delivery via pre-planned routes
Must be over 25 years old for insurances purposes and have a full clean driving license
Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding any issues or delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer queries or concerns professionally.
Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Although start time may vary, it would normally be around 3.00am and the working week is Tuesday to Saturday - 40 hours
Qualifications
Valid driving licence with experience in driving vans.
mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail when handling deliveries.
Must be physically fit to handle loading and unloading of goods as required.
