The role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Refuse Loader to join the waste collection team for the collection of refuse and recycling from domestic or commercial premises as required.
This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a good level of physical fitness and a commitment to teamwork.
You will need to be flexible and able to arrive at 6.15am and work overtime according to the demands of the job.
Key responsibilities:
Collect and empty wheeled bins, boxes, and containers from premises according to route sheets and return them to designated points after collection
Deliver and retrieve bins and containers as needed and perform other refuse duties as directed
Complete daily collection schedules and support other crews when required
Report non-presented bins or excess refuse to the crew leader
Assist the driver while he is manoeuvring the vehicle
Follow Council health and safety policies to maintain high standards at all times
What the client is looking for
Good level of physical fitness – the role involves regular lifting and walking long distances
Awareness of health and safety practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Punctual, reliable, and hardworking
Previous experience in a similar role
