Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead

Our client, a leading provider of supported living services across London, Hertfordshire, and Essex, is seeking an experienced and driven Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead to join their expanding team. With a strong focus on person-led, rights-based support, our client delivers high-quality supported living pathways that empower people to live the lives they choose.

As PBS Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding evidence-based PBS practices across all services. Youll work collaboratively with individuals, families, professionals, and internal champions to ensure that support is proactive, trauma-informed, and outcome-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the development and delivery of PBS strategies across services.
* Conduct functional behavioural assessments and create personalised PBS plans.
* Support staff to understand the functions of behaviour and respond with empathy and dignity.
* Deliver PBS training, coaching, and reflective practice to build staff skills and confidence.
* Partner with families, advocates, and multi-disciplinary teams for joined-up, person-centred support.
* Promote the reduction of restrictive practices and champion ethical, rights-based alternatives.
* Monitor PBS effectiveness through data analysis and quality assurance activities.
* Support compliance with regulatory standards, including CQC requirements.
* Contribute to service reviews, safeguarding processes, and continuous improvement planning.

About You:

Essential:

* A qualification in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Health & Social Care, or a related field.
* Proven experience delivering PBS in services for people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
* Strong knowledge of functional assessments, behaviour analysis, and person-centred planning.
* Experience in designing and implementing PBS plans that demonstrate positive outcomes.
* Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence practice at all levels.
* Understanding of safeguarding, human rights legislation, and current social care frameworks.

Desirable:

* Postgraduate qualification or certification in PBS, ABA, or related discipline.
* Experience in multi-site or community-based social care services.
* Training in trauma-informed care, restraint reduction, or systems leadership.
