An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a Graduate Policy Officer, working within the Policy and Performance Team, that will contribute to the delivery of a broad range of priorities detailed in the council’s Corporate Plan: This is Our Salford.
About the role
The Graduate Policy Officer role will contribute to the development of an evidence based policy function to support the decision making and priorities of the City Council and wider Salford Partnership. The role is a mix of supporting council policy and strategy development, contributing to the delivery of a broad range of projects relating to key council and partnership priorities and working.
The post-holder will be expected to work flexibly across the team in order to support the delivery of a joined-up, co-ordinated and evidence based policy function to the organisation.
About you
We're looking for someone who models and demonstrates our values and behaviours, with a strong passion for strategy and policy development. You will possess good communication skills, with a clear writing style to convey complex messages simply and for different purposes and channels, with a strong passion for social justice and the role of local government in tackling poverty and inequality.
