Location: Somerset, UK- Due to Location you must be able to drive and have your own car
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Are you a passionate and innovative scientist looking to make your mark in the food industry? We are seeking a Technical Development Chemist to join our dynamic team and elevate our commercial product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage outputs of our process and applications laboratory with success.
- Lead technical process development for our commercial product range.
- Create and develop products that meet the demands of the market, in collaboration with the management team.
- Innovate and guide the development of new product applications, providing technical support based on customer feedback.
- Attend industry training courses and seminars as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc, preferably MSc, in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
- 5-8 years of technical development experience in a laboratory setting, ideally with proteins, peptides, or plant-based nutritional ingredients.
- Proven track record in laboratory management, including personnel oversight and quality management systems.
- A creative and innovative mindset to drive product and application development.
- Strong leadership skills in NPD projects and collaboration with production teams.
- Exceptional ability to demonstrate the technical benefits of products at a high level.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
