The duties of the Facilities Compliance Technician role will include:
- Carrying out routine L8 Water Hygiene Testing, including temperature checks and inspections in line with L8 ACOP (Legionella control) standards
- Reporting anomalies or risks and escalating any remedial actions required
- Conducting fire safety inspections, including checks on fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and associated safety systems
- Logging faults and recording maintenance requirements in compliance documentation
- Performing emergency lighting tests in line with BS 5266 regulations and reporting any failures for action
- Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across depots, maintaining accurate records and scheduling re-tests as needed
- Ensuring all compliance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking a candidate with experience in a compliance, facilities, or technical maintenance role. You will have working knowledge of L8 water hygiene, fire safety systems, and PAT standards, along with a strong understanding of health and safety requirements in industrial or depot environments. Excellent attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and strong organisational and communication skills are essential. A full UK driving licence is required for this role due to travel between sites.
