SALARY: £24,224 per annum pro-rata + Expenses + Benefits
LOCATION: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week including Friday

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker with excellent empathy, compassion and professionalism, with an understanding of safeguarding procedures for children and adults.
Working as a Support Worker you will work with voluntary and statutory sector partners and other stakeholders to provide an outstanding service to the people supported by the organisation, and to maintain the excellent reputation and standards of the company.
As a Support Worker will have the opportunity to work for an established charity providing a high standard of Housing Related Support that really makes a difference to the lives of women, children and families.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Support Worker will include:
• Manage and process incoming referrals, including the conducting of initial assessments of young parents and families for the service and checking suitability
• Complete continuous monitoring and oversight of waiting lists for the service
• Responsibility of the accurate and consistent recording of information using internal and external case management systems in accordance with GDP regulations
• Assist and complete early help visits to young women and families as and when required to support project workers
• Promote and support service user involvement activities and consultations as and when required
• Follow safeguarding procedures and work closely with other agencies to meet safeguarding requirements for vulnerable adults, children and families
• Carry out lone working adhering to health & safety procedures
• Contribute to the organisations fundraising strategy and raise funds to support the charity in a planned way as designated by the Project manager
• Promote the organisation to all relevant stakeholders by participating in media and publicity campaigns
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• A good standard of education with at least Level 2 or equivalent in English & Maths
• Previous, recent level experience
• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with families, staff and a range of professionals to effectively represent the organisation
• An understanding of safeguarding procedures for children and adults
• Knowledge of support plans and risk assessments
• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to equality of opportunity and anti-oppressive practice
• Good organisation and decision-making skills
• Accurate record keeping abilities
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of data protection legislation and requirements
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• A thorough understanding of professional boundaries and conduct Commitment to the active involvement, inclusion and participation of all people
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Commitment to staff wellbeing
