Holroyd Howe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to lead our catering operations at Bethany School. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to deliver exceptional food services while inspiring and managing a dedicated team.

As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the catering service, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and compliance. You will play a key role in financial management, team development, and client relations, all while upholding our commitment to safeguarding and excellence.



    Job Description

    As a General Manager for Searcys you will be a key leader in the organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations, driving business growth and ensuring the overall success of your team and venue. You will have proven track record in strategic leadership and establishing a positive, nurturing, and inclusive working environment for your team.

    Job Type: Full Time

    Salary: £48,500

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Oversee daily catering operations and team performance
    • Lead recruitment, training, and development of catering staff
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards

    Client & Customer Service

    • Deliver a customer-focused service that exceeds expectations
    • Monitor feedback and implement improvements
    • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication

    People Management

    • Motivate and support a team of 12 catering staff
    • Conduct appraisals, identify training needs, and manage performance
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment

    Financial Oversight

    • Manage budgets and financial targets in line with company goals
    • Monitor stock, purchasing, and cost control
    • Provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders

    Health, Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure all statutory and company policies are followed
    • Conduct risk assessments and maintain hygiene standards
    • Promote environmental sustainability initiatives

    Qualifications

    ATTAINMENTS

    • Good standard of second education
    • NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds/HND/Degree or equivalent
    • Successful background in catering
    • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above
    • Excellent Management experience
    • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
