Summary

Floor Layer – Social Housing (Vinyl Sheet Installation)
Location: Accrington & Surrounding Areas, Lancashire
Rate: £20/hr CIS
Contract: Temporary (6–8 Weeks)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Wet Room Floor Layer to join a reputable social housing contractor, working on properties across Accrington and the surrounding areas of Lancashire.

This role involves the installation of vinyl sheet flooring in wet rooms within tenanted homes, so a high standard of finish and excellent customer service are essential.

What We’re Looking For:
We need a floor layer skilled in cap-and-cove/co-form flooring and floor welding, with experience in occupied properties and the ability to work independently.

Floor Layer Key Responsibilities:

• Installing vinyl sheet flooring in wet rooms to a high standard
• Preparing subfloors and ensuring proper adhesion
• Working in occupied homes and communicating professionally with tenants
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Collaborating with other trades to support full bathroom refurbishments

Floor Layer Requirements:

• Proven experience in fitting wet room vinyl sheet flooring
• Skilled in cap-and-cove flooring and welding techniques
• Full UK Driving Licence (van may be provided or mileage reimbursed)
• CSCS Card (preferred)
• Experience working in tenanted social housing properties
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
