Hours: 17.5hrs per week - Monday and Tuesday 8.30 – 4pm, Wednesday morning 8.30 – 12pm, 39 wks (term time)
Required from 10th November to 13th July - subject to maternity rights
We are looking to appoint a pro-active, enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work as part of a job share with an Early Years teacher in an 80 place Nursery Unit (40 am / 40 pm). The role will require the successful candidate to plan and deliver high quality nursery provision. The ability to contribute to the nurturing, community focussed ethos of the school is essential. The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. They must be able to show initiative, adaptability and the ability to meet the needs of all learners and have an excellent understanding of early childhood development.
The post is temporary to cover the maternity leave of the permanent post holder and will continue until 13/07/2026, or the resumption/resignation of the permanent post holder, whichever is sooner.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
