As a maintenance engineer, you will assist your colleagues with minimising downtime of the production machinery, ensuring Health & Safety procedures are always adhered. You will be responsible for maintaining & repairing faults with machinery, both electrically and mechanical.
You will be working in a team of engineers; you will maintain production equipment as well as working on the process and services equipment. Having the ability to work well by yourself and as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers and assisting the operational teams.
Ideally experienced in Temperature controllers, Vacuum systems, 3phase power distribution, Water and air cooling systems, Dust extraction systems, A.C and D.C motor control systems.
Candidates will preferably have extensive experience of working in a foundry environment or have other experience of handling molten metals. Alternatively, we welcome candidates who demonstrate willingness and want to progress with a business. Most importantly successful candidates must have an excellent appreciation of the importance of working to the utmost standards of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety stewardship.

• Provide effective engineering support to ensure all manufacturing areas to operate efficiently.

• Ensue that yourself and others operate within safe working environment and ensuring safe working conditions for equipment and environment.

• Adherence to planned preventative maintenance schedules with the objective of ensuring plant operation is optimised and serviceability and machine lifecycle is achieved.

• Control of engineering stores and equipment.

• The repair and maintenance of all plant, machinery and ancillary equipment.

• Undertaking and supporting of specific projects as directed.

• Support the site Management in the process of continuous improvement and culture change in order to create and maintain a best-in-class manufacturing facility.

• Demonstrate multi-skilling and the timely response to maintenance activities.

• To keep downtime of production machinery down to a minimum.

• To adopt a commitment to training and personal development.

• To have a flexible approach to hours of working as dictated by the needs of the business.

• To possess a multi-discipline capability and self-reliance.

• To work as part of the whole production team and exhibit good team working ability.

• Any other reasonable request required by the business.
