Summary
Newstaff employment services are looking for a General Mager, to work for a company based in Bletchley Milton Keynes
Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus Structure
Start Date: ASAP Office-Based Role
You will be working for a Tools and Equipment company, serving professionals and DIY enthusiasts. Known for commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we’re looking for a dynamic General Manager to help drive the business to the next chapter.
The Role
As General Manager, you'll
• Oversee daily operations
• Lead a dedicated team across all departments
• Reporting directly to the Managing Director
• Ensuring operational excellence
• Fostering a high-performing culture
• Helping to shape strategic decisions that fuel business growth
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all daily business operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
• Lead, motivate, and support cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
• Monitor KPIs and departmental performance
• Improve and implement operational systems and processes
• Oversee stock management, customer service, and operational planning
• Support with budgeting, cost control, and growth initiatives
• Serve as the key link between staff and the Managing Director
About You
• Proven success in a senior operational or general management role
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team
• Commercially driven with a focus on efficiency and strategic growth
• Organised, proactive, and a natural problem solver
• Background in e-commerce, wholesale, or related sectors is a plus
• Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Key Skills
• Financial acumen with the ability to interpret data for strategic decisions
• Accuracy in financial reporting and compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong people management and performance leadership
