Aspire Jobs are working exclusively with our client, who are a well-established global distributor. Due to a recent promotion, they are now looking for an additional member to join their Customs team.

This role will see you having some administration experience with a lot of copy and pasting, looking for information and inputting information. You don't need any previous customs/import or export experience although if you do this is a bonus!

The successful Customs Administrator will:-

Have some previous administration experience
Have good Excel skills
Be IT literate
Be willing to learn
Have good attention to detail with an eye for detail
Shipping & Customs experience is beneficial but not essential
Be able to follow processes.
Be self-motivated, with a good work ethic and be reliable.
Have strong organisational skills
Have excellent customer service skills.
This role encompasses all aspects relating to customs clearance and the inward processing of goods procured from overseas

Whilst the role will be quite basic to start off with, after training and over time you will work towards a more specialist customs role, so you must be prepared to learn.

There is a lot of compliance in this role so if you have worked in a compliance/regulated environment then so much the better, but again it's not essential.
