**Join a team that feels like family.**
*Lead with compassion. Deliver care you can be proud of.*
We’re looking for a Senior Care Assistant who leads with calm, confidence and care. Someone who sets the tone on shift, helps new carers find their feet, and makes sure every resident feels respected and looked after.
This is a hands-on role with real impact. Thoughtful leadership, good decisions and quiet kindness can shape someone’s whole day. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

### **Why You’ll Love Working Here**
*We know how important it is to feel supported and valued at work. Here’s what you can expect:*
- **Work** with people who care and have your back from day one
- **Step** into leadership. Your experience will be recognised and valued
- **Grow** your career with real training and progression opportunities
- **Help** new carers find their feet and build confidence
- **Enjoy** free hot meals, snacks and drinks on every shift
- **Take** paid breaks and get a free uniform throughout your time here
---
### **What Your Day Could Look Like**
*Every day is a little different. But it’s always grounded in kindness, teamwork and good care. Here’s what your shift might include:*
- Support residents with personal care and daily routines, always with dignity and respect
- Lead by example. Guide your team and set the tone for great care
- Welcome new carers and help them feel confident and prepared
- Keep accurate records and contribute to updating care plans
- Spot and report any changes in residents’ wellbeing, physical or emotional
- Step in when needed to keep the shift calm, caring and running smoothly
---
### **What We’d Love You to Bring**
*This is a leadership role, so we’re looking for someone who can tick all of the following:*
- You’re kind, confident and reliable. Someone others naturally turn to
- You’ve worked in care and know what good support looks like
- Good understanding of safeguarding, MCA and DoLS
- You’ve got an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or you’re working towards it)
- You lead by example and communicate clearly, even under pressure
- You’re a thoughtful team player who others enjoy working with
- You’re confident using digital tools to keep records clear and up to date

### **What Makes Island Healthcare Different**
We’re a family-run company, and we treat our staff and residents with the same care we’d want for our own families.
For over 20 years, we’ve been part of life on the Island. We’ve built trust by doing the right things, the right way. That’s why many of our team stay for years. They feel respected and proud of the work they do.
Our homes feel like just that. Homes. They’re welcoming, well-run, and full of people who care.
So if you want to do real work that matters, with people who truly care, we’d love to hear from you.
