Summary
Band 6 Specialist IBD Dietitian
We are looking for a dietitian with a passion for supporting patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Working alongside an established MDT with links to regional, national and global research, you will be able to push the boundaries of dietetic intervention. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a changing environment, commitment to team working.
This role is ideal for a Dietitian wanting to further develop clinical skills in a large teaching hospital with a varied and challenging caseload. Regular supervision and support will be provided.
This post may be suitable for B5 to B6 progression.
Provide a comprehensive dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients referred to the gastroenterology team.
Perform specialist dietetic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions to provide, develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
Work closely with other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and in conjunction with other Dietitians as required.
Provide specialist training and education on dietetic assessment and treatment of patients within this specialty to the wider multidisciplinary team and qualified and unqualified staff.
To be actively involved in implementation of specific changes to practice and contribute to service development.
