Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift
- Location: Ilfracombe, North Devon.
- Salary: Competitive PLUS night shift premium.
- Job Type: Temporary, approx. 12 months.
About the role:
Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their clients skilled team in Ilfracombe. This is a night shift position, with the primary focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial equipment in the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.
- Replace faulty parts and components.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate maintenance records.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer on industrial equipment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
- Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
- Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Hours:
This is a night shift position, working 8-hour shifts 23:45 - 07:45, Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional overtime required.
