The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a major automated racking installation project. Working under a principal contractor as a subcontractor to an integrator, you will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring project milestones are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the Installation Team, Project Manager, and external stakeholders to maintain smooth site operations
- Oversee delivery schedules, stock levels, and parts registers using Excel
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly, maintaining clear communication across all teams
- Ensure all site documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are met
- Maintain high standards of site organisation, safety, and professionalism
Please Note: Strong Excel skills are essential. You will be expected to manage and review complex spreadsheets daily, including delivery schedules and parts tracking. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are critical to success in this role.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within automated racking or industrial installation projects
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- High proficiency in Excel and document management
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and subcontractor coordination
- Black CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme - essential)
- First Aid at Work certification (essential)
