As we innovate and improve our member services, you will be the cornerstone of our membership operations, managing critical systems that directly impact member experience and organisational growth. Your responsibilities include maintaining our membership database with meticulous data quality, overseeing Direct Debit operations and BACS compliance, and transforming data into actionable insights through analysis and reporting. You will troubleshoot system issues, collaborate with finance teams, and develop dashboards that drive strategic decision-making.
As our membership systems expert, you'll provide training and support to stakeholders, drive process improvements, and work cross-departmentally to deliver impactful projects that contribute to membership development and revenue targets. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of our membership operations while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate. Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application.
What we are looking for:
Membership & Financial Expertise: Understanding of membership systems, financial processes, and payment solutions, with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to perform data exports, analysis, and reporting to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
Customer Focus: Experience in a customer-facing environment, with a strong commitment to delivering excellence in member experiences and resolving inquiries promptly.
Communication Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, able to tackle challenges creatively and inspire confidence in others.
Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM platforms and/or financial systems, and modern digital tools to optimise workflows and operations.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating diplomacy, negotiation, and the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
Time Management: Capable of prioritising work effectively, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
If you are interested in this role, please apply before the end of the closing date. When applying, you will need to provide an up-to-date CV and as a cover letter (in no more than 500 words) telling us about your relevant knowledge, skills and competencies and why you are applying for this role.
