We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Student Administration team as the Head of Student Records and Data Management. This pivotal post will lead the delivery of high-quality student records and curriculum data management, ensuring compliance with complex regulatory frameworks and driving continuous service enhancement.

You will play a key part in shaping the future of student administration, working closely with senior colleagues to deliver user-focused, integrated services that support the University’s strategic aims.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic development and operational delivery of student records and curriculum data services.
Ensure compliance with external frameworks (e.g. Office for Students, UKVI) and internal policies.
Oversee the integrity and accuracy of data within the Student Record System (SRS).
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to meet service priorities.
Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on student records and data compliance.
Represent Student Administration on cross-institutional projects and initiatives.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and wellbeing.

You will be an experienced leader with a proven background in student records, data management, or a related area within higher education. You’ll bring:

Proven experience in managing complex data systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
A strategic mindset with the ability to drive innovation and service improvement.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Collaborative approach to working across teams and departments.
Qualifications

Essential;

Educated to degree level, or commensurate work experience

Desirable;

Evidence of ongoing professional development, or postgraduate qualification

The post is located within Academic Registry. Academic Registry is central to the delivery of the University’s strategy.
