Part-time - 25 hours per week – Mondays to Fridays - 10am 3pm
Office based in Pontypridd during probationary period (first 6 months), then hybrid working following successful completion of probationary period (some days office based some days working from home).
Salary – Full-time equivalent salary is £25,000 to £27,500 depending on experience (salary will be pro-rata)
Company pension contribution – 3%
Annual leave – 24 days plus BHs
You will be responsible for:
• Managing Purchase Ledger - accurately record, process, and pay invoices and expenses.
• Invoice Reconciliation: Match and reconcile invoices to the correct nominal codes, ensuring accuracy in ledger postings.
• Cashflow Management – Assisting the Senior Finance Manager with cashflow management.
• Completion Pack Processing: Accurately process completion packs for conveyancing transactions, ensuring all financial elements are reconciled and compliant.
• Submission of Telegraphic Transfers: Prepare and submit telegraphic transfers, ensuring all supporting documentation is in place and authorisations are obtained in line with firm policy.
• Accounts Queries: Investigate and resolve queries related to accounts, liaising with solicitors and fee earners to ensure prompt resolution.
• Client to Office Transfers: Process transfers from client account to office account in line with agreed billing and compliance protocols.
• Account Reconciliations: Carry out regular reconciliations for the Client and Office Account, identifying and resolving any discrepancies efficiently.
What we're looking for:
• Proven experience in a similar accounts role within a legal services firm is essential.
• Excellent understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules.
• Proficiency in Xero (financial software).
• Payroll experience is desirable but not essential.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Trustworthy and discreet with confidential financial data.
