We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to assist in providing an effective, efficient and safe cleaning service
The College’s cleaning service is run in-house, managed by our Site Manager and overseen by our Estates Officer. The cleaning assistants are organised into two teams.
Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment is an advantage, though training will be given. More important is a commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, combined with a flexible and positive approach. You will need to be able to work well as part of a team, but also able to pro-actively carry out tasks without close supervision.
You must be willing and able to carry out the variety of manual tasks which are an essential part of this kind of role.
Employment will be on a permanent basis for an average of 16 hours per week starting as soon as the successful candidate is available, following safeguarding and recruitment checks.
Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 4.15 pm to 7.30 pm and Friday 4.15 pm to 7.15 pm.

Salary payments are made monthly by credit transfer on the last business banking day of the month. You will be eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Annual leave entitlement is 22 days per annum in addition to public holidays, rising to 25 days after 5 years’ continuous service.
