Crynodeb
Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology provides a specialist histo-pathology diagnostic service for Sheffield Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Chesterfield and Barnsley Hospitals and the Regional cancer network. In addition, the Consultants within the Unit receive a large number of national and international referrals for expert opinion. The LAS will be expected to participate fully in the diagnostic service with duties ranging from assisting cancer MDT meeting preparation, trimming specimens and drafting reports for biopsies and resection The post provides a broad and variable experience to the LAS and involvement in audit and teaching is strongly encouraged.
