Our client, a commercial vehicle bodybuilder specialising in refrigerated vehicles, is currently recruiting for a Vehicle Production Manager for their centre in Atworth.
Reporting to the Depot Manager and working as part of a friendly team, as the Vehicle Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of our client's refrigerated vehicle production site. You will be responsible for managing the daily workflow, ensuring that all production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in lean manufacturing, workflow management, and materials control will drive continuous improvement across the site.
You will also be instrumental in setting up and managing the production facility to become established, ensuring alignment with business objectives. With a strong focus on communication and team development, you will mentor and support your team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Additionally, you will work closely with key stakeholders to manage risks, optimise processes, and implement improvements to deliver results.
To be eligible, you will thrive in a leadership role where you can drive performance and foster team development to achieve operational excellence. You will have a passion for continuous improvement, with experience in lean manufacturing and a focus on efficiency and quality. You will enjoy taking on challenges, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading teams through change to become established. Previous experience in automotive vehicle body assembly and building would be required, ideally at the management/supervisory level alongside a UK driving licence with minimal points. Overall, you will have an eye for detail, have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process, have good communication skills, have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and be willing to solve problems as and when they arise.
