A Vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy team at Tamarind Centre, Sycamore ICU ward, with the aim of becoming a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist following successfully completing an 18 month development plan.
This development opportunity guarantees robust development opportunities and support to enable Band 6 readiness within an 18 month time frame. If successful, there would be a requirement to complete Band 6 OT competencies before the Band 6 post was offered.
The post holder will work within the established Occupational Therapy Team supporting service users on admission and during their recovery through delivering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, formulation, interventions and group programmes.
You will need to be committed to recovery based personalised care, and excited about opportunities to work with EBE in creating co produced interventions and groups that meet the demands of our diverse communities. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and will work collaboratively with service users in a way that reflects our Trust Values by providing committed and high quality care.
Tamarind Centre is a 89 bedded male medium secure service in Bordesley Green, Birmingham that is part of the Secure Care and Offender pathway.
