Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate, values driven and experienced Volunteer Coordinator and Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our mission by managing volunteer activities, enhancing our online presence, and ensuring effective communication within our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of neurodiversity, excellent social media skills, and a commitment to social justice.

This is a new and crucial role that will play a key part in our overall growth and development. As our Volunteer Coordinator and Administrator, you will have a real opportunity to shape and develop our charity going forward.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers
Conduct DBS checks on potential volunteers where necessary
Develop and maintain volunteer schedules and activities.
Facilitate communication between volunteers and the organisation
Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies
Provide administrative support for various projects and initiatives
Keep accurate volunteer records and maintain a database of volunteers
Promote the benefits and opportunities of volunteering with our charity, both internally and externally

Social Media Management:
Create, schedule, and post engaging content across various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments/messages to foster community interaction
Analyse social media metrics to improve outreach strategies
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals
Utilise basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) to create visually appealing content for social media posts
Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices to ensure the organisation’s online presence remains relevant and effective

Administrative Support:
Assist in the development of communication materials such as newsletters, reports, and promotional content
Maintain databases related to volunteers and community engagement
Support the planning and execution of online events and campaigns
Other ad hoc administrative tasks
Utilise Brevo to communicate regularly with S4Nd’s membership, including:
Sending newsletters and updates
Distributing event invitations
Sharing important announcements and resources
Create and manage email campaigns to engage and inform members about S4Nd’s activities and initiatives
Handle membership inquiries and process new member applications
Assist in organising and coordinating online events and webinars for members
Manage general email correspondence and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Qualifications

Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in volunteer coordination or similar roles
Strong background in social media management with an understanding of what it takes to make a successful campaign
Familiarity with communication strategies in non-profit or community-focused organisations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (we recognize that communication styles vary; if you have alternative methods of communication, we welcome your application)
Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva)

Understanding of Neurodiversity:
Knowledge of neurodiversity concepts and a commitment to promoting inclusivity within the community
Lived experience of being neurodivergent (highly valued)
