Join Our Team as a Part-Time Post Room Assistant!
Are you someone who thrives on precision, stays calm under pressure, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a diligent and dependable Post Room Assistant to join our Tascor team on a part-time basis.
With your keen eye for detail and calm approach, you'll help maintain the flow of information and supplies across our organisation.
This role is on-site at Gloucester Police HQ. Working hours are 22.5 per week, Monday to Friday. Core hours are 12-2pm and therefore start and end times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.

What you'll be doing
• receive, sort, and securely distribute incoming mail and deliveries from Royal Mail, couriers, and delivery services
• prepare and dispatch outgoing mail and stores, ensuring all protocols and documentation are followed
• operate key equipment including the franking machine, folding machine, and Lecktriever, and manage related supplies
• handle classified and caveated mail in line with security procedures, including special delivery items
• maintain accurate records, support monthly reporting to finance, and manage stock of postal stationery
• provide flexible support across the registry, including counter service, issuing prox cards and keys, and assisting with mail shots
What we're looking for
Essential:
• ability to lift and move boxes and packages safely
• confident using Outlook to send and manage emails
• comfortable completing spreadsheets for signed-for deliveries
• reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
• willingness to learn - full training will be provided
Desirable:
• previous experience in a mailroom, registry, or facilities support role
• experience using franking machines, folding equipment, or document handling systems
