Stage Management Intern - STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for a Stage Management Internship on the London production of STRANGER THINGS: THE FIRST SHADOW.
Written by Kate Trefry, an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry, directed by Stephen Daldry, co-directed by Justin Martin for the Phoenix Theatre and produced by Netflix and Sonia Friedman Productions – this new play has taken the West End by storm, garnering 5 star reviews across the board and winning the Olivier for Best Entertainment.
The internship will run from 9th September 2025 to 12th November 2025 across the Production’s recast rehearsals. The Intern will work across Monday to Saturday each week. Standard working hours will be between 9.30am – 7.30pm, although some evenings may be required.
The Intern will be trained and supported by the show’s Stage Management department. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: supporting technical elements of the rehearsals, maintaining props, and shadowing show plots.
We ask that candidates should:
Be able to demonstrate interest and experience in theatre stage management.
Have some practical experience of supporting live events or productions on a voluntary or amateur basis.
Be eager to learn.
Work well under pressure and within a team.
Have the right to work in the UK
Professional experience is not required
This internship is best suited for those in the final year of a university course. Note that this internship is for over 18s only.
