Julian House is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We run several projects and every year we help thousands of people out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.

Job Role: Property Portfolio Manager

Salary: £30,400

Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Bath, with need to travel across our operational footprint.



Additional information:

Frequent travel will be required, will need someone who can drive and has their own transport.


The Role:

Are you passionate about helping people move into safe and supportive homes? In this exciting role, you’ll take the lead in growing and developing our property portfolio to provide high-quality supported accommodation for those who need it most.

You’ll work closely with landlords, developers, and our dedicated service teams to source and secure properties that give our clients a stable, affordable, and suitable place to live — a crucial foundation from which they can access our specialist support and begin rebuilding their lives.



Responsibilities include:

Lead on search and acquisition of new properties in line with our service needs; including responding at pace when a gap arises in our provision, to avoid service disruption.
Negotiate the best leasing contracts for Julian House and our clients, ensuring that rent reflects Local Housing Allowance, break clauses are in our favour, and maintenance responsibilities align with our internal policies.
Undertake market research in support of bid development for new accommodation-based services.
Work closely with IT, Finance, Fundraising, Marketing and Business Development teams to deliver joined-up on-boarding, off-boarding and development projects.


Qualifications / Requirements:

A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
Excellent relationship building and management skills, with a track record of stewarding landlord relationships including remedial arrangements.
Knowledge and expertise of the housing sector, with a track record of successfully securing commercial and domestic properties through leasing and purchase.
