Title: FLT Counterbalance / FLT / Warehouse Operative The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit an experienced Forklift Driver to work at our client's busy distribution site, based in Fair Oak, Southampton.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Working in the warehouse of a large logistics company Operating a counterbalance Forklift truck to move pallets of goods Loading and unloading vehicles and containers Picking orders Assisting with all general warehouse duties Sweeping and general tidying Previous warehouse experience, as well as a valid counterbalance Forklift licence, is essential to be considered for this role. This role does involve manual handling, which can be heavy work, so any applicants will need to be physically fit. Any candidates that do not meet this criteria will not be considered.
This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position, on a temp-to-perm contract. This means the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.
The working hours are Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00.
The starting pay rate is £13.00 per hour.
