Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer, required by their client, leading global manufacturing and engineering company,Global Service Readiness Engineering Team. Located in Portsmouth, UK, this role offers full-time work on a temporary basis.

Main responsibilities:
- Finalise service-related documents with content provided by the Service Readiness Engineers.
- Ensure content quality, technical accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements (ISO, cGMP, GDP, EHS, etc.).
- Standardise documentation to improve readability and support our global Field Service needs.
- Collaborate and support Global Service Readiness Engineers in the lifecycle management of documents.
- Track and monitor the lifecycle of document releases and updates in our platforms.
The Technical Writer Service Engineering role supports all aspects of internal documentation for New Product Development (NPD) and Lifecycle Management projects for new and legacy products. The Technical Writer will be a critical team member working cross-functionally to support the Global Service Readiness Engineer. This role will significantly impact improvement initiatives, documentation standardization, and quality compliance. The Technical Writer is responsible for monitoring and reporting the status of documents to identify risks, transferring and creating technical content designed and delivered by the Global Service Readiness Engineers into standard formats using a Component Management System (CCMS), monitoring the Review and Approval of the documents, and then publishing them for release to the central repository processes for end use at the Customer's site. This role will significantly impact internal improvement initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Engineering, Life Science or Language processing or 2 years relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with ISO/cGMP/GDP and quality systems related to design control, product release requirements, and audits.
- Experience working in project team meetings, meeting deadlines and deliverables.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Excellent understanding and communication of the English language.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Having prior experience in the following areas would be advantageous:
- Customer-oriented attitude with effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated, ambitious with the ability to work independently and learn quickly.
- Experience with PDM systems (Magic).
