We're currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a thriving secondary school in the London Borough of Hounslow. This is a flexible role ideal for someone who can step in at short notice to support the school on a weekly rota.

With over 1,500 students and a vibrant sixth form, this welcoming and inclusive school has recently been rated 'Good' by Ofsted, with 'Outstanding' for Personal Development. The school is well-connected via public transport, offers roadside parking, and is surrounded by beautiful green spaces. Role Overview
As an HLTA, you'll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre-set lessons and activities
- Managing groups of up to 25 students (ages 11-18)
- Encouraging student engagement and using initiative to support learning
- Promoting positive behaviour and a focused classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Experience working with young people, ideally in education, youth work, sports coaching, or public speaking
- Previous HLTA or Cover Supervisor experience is helpful but not essential
- Subject expertise is a bonus, but not required
