QinetiQ are currently recruiting for a cleaner to be based at our site in Boscombe Down, Amesbury, Wiltshire. You will be contracted to work 37 hours per week .
This is a full-time permanent role and all equipment, products etc. will be provided.
The Cleaner role will provide support by delivering planned or requested activities in order to effectively deliver a high quality cleaning service.
Including but not limited to:
To maintain high standards of cleanliness & hygiene across the site; delivering the cleaning schedule / specification & responding to specific customer needs, as required.
• Cleaning of offices, conference rooms, laboratories / workshops, kitchens,
toilets / showers & general areas across site.
• To ensure appropriate cleaning of signage across site.
• Safe use & management of cleaning materials, equipment / tools, substances
& areas; ensuring appropriate storage and signage are applied as necessary.
• Collect waste items from across site and disposal in the correct receptacles;
including kitchen & dry waste recycling bins.
• To provide rapid & efficient response to customer requests / tasks.
• To carry out weekly shower checks & recording for audit purposes.
• To identify & report any issues encountered whilst carrying out cleaning duties.
• To provide general assistance / support to the Property Operations team, as
required
Key Capabilities/Knowledge:
Proactive, drive and enthusiasm; ‘can do’ approach
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Ability to organise / prioritise work
• Ability to thrive as part of a team and work independently where appropriate
• Flexibility
Experience & Qualifications:
• Full driving licence
• Ability to safely deploy equipment/processes
• Manual Handling awareness /risk appreciation
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs
Many roles in QinetiQ are subject to national security vetting being completed, applicants who already hold the appropriate level of vetting may be able to transfer it upon appointment. A number of roles are also subject to additional restrictions, which mean factors such as nationality or previous nationalities may affect the roles that you can be employed in.
