Summary
THE PERSON/KEY ATTRIBUTES
Post holder must be a graduate or HND in any discipline. Must possess at least a diploma in Biblical studies, must have passed through RCCG Workers in training, School of disciples, and must have served as a minister for at least three years. Candidate must be in full agreement with and must doctrinally aligned with RCCG ‘Statement of Faith’
The successful candidate must be spiritually mature, humble, trustworthy, flexible, and detail-oriented, able to lead worship, prayer, Bible Study and shepherd people.
Must have a proven personal commitment to and has a deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Have a pastoral mind-set and abilities and a willingness to be a servant leader.
Experienced and gifted in Word and Worship Ministry. (Able to demonstrate at interview stage)
A good team player, with strong interpersonal skills across generations.
He/she exhibits a thorough knowledge of the Bible, is committed to Biblically sound doctrine and able to teach same.
Have experience understanding of the use of media technology in worship and preaching.
Kingdom Passionate, Ministry experienced and able to serve of the Lord in any given capacity
JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES
Heads the Worship Ministry of the Church, Serving as a member of the ministry team at RCCG Winners Way Chatham, demonstrating a commitment to this congregation and its mission
Assist the Senior Pastors in their pastoral duties, including, preaching, teaching, caring and leading in worship as needed.
Planning and scheduling, services, calendar, and coordinating worship services.
Leading weekly rehearsals in preparation for Sunday and cultivation of Christ-centred Worshipping community
Stay up to date in worship music and various worship styles, explore new ideas for corporate worship, and be open to change and the shifting of responsibilities as growth and ministry develop.
Assist the Pastoral Team to develop services that support and enhance the message of the day.
Lead person in the Preparation and production of Newsletter, Weekly Bulletin, Sunday school and other Bible teaching Materials.
Oversee the Multi Media Production team and volunteers.
Lead additional services (mid-week, evening, etc.)
The Worship Director will offer servant leadership in the music ministry of the church, focusing initially on the adult choir and weekly vocal music teams.
Assist the Senior Pastor in other duties as may be delegated from time to time.
Must be someone that can work irregular hours including weekends and evenings
