Crynodeb
The Cancer MDT Coordinator will: 1. Coordinate MDT Meetings: Schedule meetings, prepare patient lists, collect relevant clinical data, and document decisions using the Cancer Information System. Flexibility in working hours is required to attend early or late meetings. 2. Navigate Patient Pathways: Track patient progress along diagnostic and treatment pathways, ensuring compliance with national targets. Communicate with clinical teams and escalate breaches in a timely manner to enable corrective action. 3. Data Management: Collect and input data into systems such as the National Cancer Waiting Times database and relevant audits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 4. Cross-Cover Support: Provide cover for other coordinators during leave and assist in developing clear protocols for service continuity. 5. General Responsibilities: Uphold confidentiality, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain a professional appearance. Additionally, the post holder will actively participate in training, staff meetings, and performance reviews to support personal and professional development.
