About the role
The Faculty of Animal Care at The Grimsby Institute is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programme Leader to join our well-established team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in our newly built Animal Care Unit, delivering high-quality education to learners aged 16 and above. In this fast-paced and diverse role, you will collaborate with other Programme Leaders to deliver engaging and effective teaching across Level 1, 2, and 3 Animal Care and Animal Management qualifications.

Other duties will include:
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Plan, facilitate, and track learner progress effectively.
• Assess learner achievement against set targets.
• Provide outstanding pastoral and academic support throughout the learner journey.
• Offer effective guidance to support learners in progressing to higher education or employment.
• Manage and coordinate learner programmes, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a personalised and high-quality experience.


About the person
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service, as well as strong organisation and administrative skills. Candidates should also have a Level 3 or above qualification in Animal Management, or another animal industry-oriented qualification (Level 3 or above). Prior experience working in animal industries is essential. Experience in analysing data and writing reports is required, along with ICT competency.
