Summary
Job title: Support Worker
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Pershore, Worcestershire
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 55-year-old Female who is looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support and assistance with daily living tasks for between 10-12 hours per week. Support worker maybe required to work one Saturday per month at the client’s request.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Support to get to weekly appointment in Pershore every Tuesday Afternoon.
Attend medical appointments if required
Do hobbies such as gardening
Support to access the local community
Support to go out for coffee and meals
Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, light cleaning duties around the home, changing linen, and gardening.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity or has a good sense of humour.
Specific requirements: Previous experience required.
Non-Smoker. Must be a driver with access to own vehicle.
Other: Due to the nature of this role including support to attend medical appointments the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.
Hours of work: 10 – 12 hours per week
Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour for Employed
£15 per hour for Self-Employed
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous experience as a Support Worker
Confidentiality
Good communicator
A good listener
Good at building relationships
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
