Summary

Job title: Support Worker

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 55-year-old Female who is looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support and assistance with daily living tasks for between 10-12 hours per week. Support worker maybe required to work one Saturday per month at the client’s request.

Main duties:
Social duties:
 Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
 Support to get to weekly appointment in Pershore every Tuesday Afternoon.
 Attend medical appointments if required
 Do hobbies such as gardening
 Support to access the local community
 Support to go out for coffee and meals

Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, light cleaning duties around the home, changing linen, and gardening.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

 Specific requirements: Previous experience required.
Non-Smoker. Must be a driver with access to own vehicle.

 Other: Due to the nature of this role including support to attend medical appointments the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 10 – 12 hours per week

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour for Employed
£15 per hour for Self-Employed

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 Full UK driving licence
 Car and appropriate insurance
 Previous experience as a Support Worker
 Confidentiality
 Good communicator
 A good listener
 Good at building relationships

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
