Company: Link3 Recruitment
Location: East Leake, UK
Employment Type: Temporary (Flexible Options Available)
Salary: £90–£120 per day
Link3 Recruitment is a trusted recruitment agency that works with schools across the UK to provide quality education professionals. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic & confident Cover Supervisors to join secondary schools in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for young professionals, graduates, or those considering a career in teaching to gain hands-on experience in the classroom.
The RoleAs a Cover Supervisor, you'll take the lead in managing a classroom when a teacher is absent — delivering pre-set work, maintaining behaviour, and ensuring students stay on task. It’s a perfect stepping stone for anyone thinking about a future in education, whether you’re planning to become a teacher or just looking to build transferable skills in leadership and communication.
Key Responsibilities-
Supervise students across various subjects, following lesson plans left by teaching staff
-
Ensure a calm, focused classroom environment where students can learn
-
Manage behaviour and promote positive conduct in line with school policy
-
Collect completed work and report back to teaching staff
-
Offer light guidance on tasks, supporting students where appropriate
Minimum RequirementsWe’re looking for confident, reliable individuals who meet the following:
-
Education: Minimum of a Level 3 qualification (A-Levels or equivalent) – graduates encouraged to apply
-
Experience: Previous experience working with young people is a bonus but not essential (e.g., sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring)
-
Skills:
-
Good communication and confidence speaking to groups
-
Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and professional
-
Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
-
DBS: Must have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce). If not registered to the update service, this may involve a cost
Why This Role is Great for You-
Ideal for recent graduates, gap year students, or those exploring a career in education
-
Flexible work that fits around other commitments or studies
-
Valuable classroom experience before enrolling in teacher training or PGCE
-
Build confidence, leadership, and behaviour management skills
-
Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people
How to ApplyIf you’re ready to step into the classroom and start your education career journey, we want to hear from you! Send your CV and a brief message outlining your availability to Callum@link3recruitment.co.uk, or apply via www.link3recruitment.co.uk.
