Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs? Do you have the patience and dedication to help students thrive? We’re looking for a caring and proactive Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Great Yarmouth.
The Role:
You’ll support pupils with a range of complex needs — including autism, physical disabilities, and communication challenges — working closely with teachers and specialists to deliver personalised support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students with personal care and mobility
- Help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
