Job Title: Activity, Support and Enrichment Coordinator
Location: Haverfordwest
Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per week
Employment is subject to at least two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS.
Applicants should be 18 years or over.

About the role...
To create, organise and offer residents a stimulating programme of activities offering internal & external activity sessions, using organisations such as PACTO to access the local community through the hiring of a mini-bus.
To co-ordinate & produce an inclusive activities programme, ensuring that the scheduled programme is circulated to all residents so that they know what is taking place.
Create strong links with the community to aid social stimulation and have a variety of offerings, whereby people are going out into the community more and/or ‘bringing the outside in’.
Make use of the internal and external spaces effectively so that a varied range of seasonal and indoor/outdoor activities can be offered.
To work holistically with residents, and be alert to their daily living needs, and assist residents with their personal needs and at mealtimes as required, ensuring the appropriate equipment is available and the ambience is conducive to a relaxed environment.
Ensure the activity and social programme incorporates evenings and weekends.
To ensure that all residents receive some form of social activity each week and residents receive one to one time, particularly those that do not wish to participate in group activities. This should include opportunities within the home and the wider community.
To liaise with relatives and staff regarding special individual requirements, such as birthdays and anniversaries, cultural and religious festivals, and celebrations, etc.
To regularly assess the effectiveness of the social events and activities programme.
Maintain a dementia friendly community, whereby Ashdale Care Home is a place where people living with dementia are understood, respected, and supported.
Adopt a person-centred approach to record keeping, that encompasses resident participation, enjoyment, etc.
Support with any marketing objectives, which may include sharing what activities takes place on social media platforms.
Actively engage with social media to post updates and complete Blogs and news items regarding the on activities and community of Ashdale Care Home.
About You
Basic experience is essential for this role – the successful candidate will be mentored by the Manager and another Activity, Support and Enrichment Coordinator.
To have a genuine interest for supporting people with additional needs.
Driver – essential (willingness to undertake mini-bus training)
