This is a brilliant opportunity if you're just starting out and want to build skills, gain experience, and get stuck into real marketing projects that help people across Somerset find new opportunities and confidence through learning.
What’s the role?
As our Marketing Assistant Apprentice, you’ll help us share learner stories and promote the fantastic range of courses and support we offer. You’ll create great content, whether that’s writing a blog, taking a photo, filming a short video, or updating the website.
You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager, Marketing Executive and teams across SS&L, supporting campaigns, events, and day-to-day communications. No two days are the same — and you’ll be part of a team that’s always full of ideas.
Sound like you?
If you’re ready to learn, get creative and be part of a team that’s passionate about people - we’d love to hear from you.
What we’re looking for:
We don’t expect loads of experience — just your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. This could be perfect for you if you’re:
- A great communicator with strong writing skills
- Creative and curious — someone who enjoys telling stories in different ways
- Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail
- Confident using basic IT tools like Word, email and social media
- Willing to travel to different centres across Somerset when needed
- Interested in building a career in marketing
You’ll need GCSE English (grade 4/C or above), and we’ll support you every step of the way as you work towards a Level 3 Marketing Assistant Apprenticeship (Multi-Channel Marketer).
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate how you are able to meet SS&L’s core values: collaboration, growth, excellence, innovation
