Job purpose: As a decorator you are responsible for carrying out decorating tasks promptly and to the highest standards in a timely fashion. You will also need to be flexible in helping the maintenance team in completing tasks and also flexible to do shifts according to the business.

Role Competencies:

Planning Timescales:
• To carry out tasks from maintenance reporting site in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
• To support the maintenance team across the business.

Decision Making:
• To have the ability to make decisions on a day to day business when lone working.
• To be able to make decisions within the remit of own role.

Impact and Influence:
• To always be friendly and courteous when dealing with customers, both internal and external.

Skill Level:
• Carry out decorating report work and ensure it is completed to the highest standard.
• Follow planned decorating programme.

Communication:
• Respond to internal and external guests in a professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Budget Management:
• Understand own accountability and how actions effect costs within the business.

Lead and Develop:
• To support colleagues when required
Operating Parameters:
• Develop and implement company statutory and legal requirements including fire, health and safety, hygiene at work and local by laws
• To carry out tasks in a timely fashion and to a high standard
• To be flexible with working hours

• Previous experience in the hotel industry or similar role - D
• Previous experience is essential in the following fields, decorating, wallpapering both domestic and commercial and general maintenance tasks - E
• Relevant qualifications according to role essential - D
