Roles that require PVG Membership
Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above (currently £30,285 per annum / £16.64 per hour)
The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.
Job Purpose:
This is a community-based role responsible for improving quality of life in households and across communities. The role involves supporting Council tenants to manage and maintain tenancies to improve outcomes by responding to, and reducing, need and risk.
The post holder will contribute to realising our vision for a place where all people can prosper and has a critical role in supporting tenants in our most vulnerable communities by helping prevent harm, and intervening early where there is risk. This includes working with households to respond to early identification of Adult and Child Protection concerns to remove the risk of escalation above relevant thresholds
and accelerating the provision of secure tenancies through the Housing 1st and Rapid Rehousing Transition Plans.
The role will contribute to the identified outcomes recognising the importance of partnership working.
