SEN Teaching Assistant Required in LLantwit Major Autism & Challenging Behaviour Immediate Start
I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Llantwit Major who specialise in children with Autism and associated needs.
aily Rate: Minimum £95 - £103
Location: Llantwit Major
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
Needs of students: Profound Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and associated challenging behaviours.
Age range: 5-19 years
The successful applicants will have:
- Knowledge or Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs
- Demonstrable experience of the ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
- Knowledge/Awareness of Autism
- Knowledge/Awareness of Challenging Behaviour
- Have passion and belief in helping our pupils to achieve their full potential
- Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check
The role will consist of:
- Offering support to the class teacher
- Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans
- Building good student - teacher rapport
